Pranay qualified from king’s College London in 1997. He went on to complete 2 years of hospital training in Oral and Maxilo-facial surgery and Restorative dentistry. In 1999 he entered private practice in London.
In 2000 he joined the world renowned Eastman Dental Institute in London (Off site link opens in a new window) and completed a three year specialist training masters program in fixed and removable prosthodontics, with distinction for his clinical case presentations. He was subsequently awarded the MRD, the highest formal qualification available for the prosthodontic mono-speciality, by the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
Pranay is formally recognized by the General Dental Council UK (Off site link opens in a new window), as a specialist in Prosthodontics and maintains his specialist practice in Central London.
Pranay is also actively involved in postgraduate teaching and is the programme co-ordinator for the removable prosthodontic programmes and is a part-time clinical lecturer in Prosthodontics at the UCL Eastman CPD, Eastman Dental Institute, London.

Courses and lecturing
Dr. Sharma lectures extensively in the UK, both at local and national level. He has also been invited to speak abroad.
Dr. Sharma runs hands-on courses in removable prosthodontics (complete and partial dentures), for dentists, at the UCL Eastman CPD Dental Institute (Off site link opens in a new window). Pranay is also actively involved with other post-graduate courses run at the Eastman CPD, including aesthetic dentistry, implant dentistry and the certificate in restorative dentistry course.
